Since young, I was very interested in them, them as being a marine mammal and the many stories that surrounded them.
It seems like they were always smiling, helping and aiding somone in need and always so carefree.
To me, it seems like a symbol of gentleness, carefree-ness/freedom and children of God like we are in the land and they are in the water.
I read about them and I always remembered one photo(from one of the books) clearly .
In Bahamas, someone swam wild dolphins. She was in 2 piece and at the bottom of a shallow sea and 3 dolphins encircled her.
She must have felt very fortunate. Because I could feel from the photo she does.
It had always been my dream to swim with wild dolphins in Bahamas.
Whats my take on captive dolphins?
I am not against them being in the captive.
I know, this seems so contradicting.
They to me are a symbol of freedom yet being in a human made environment?
But I think its important to understand that some dolphins were born in the captive. They were cared for by humans and very much, in a safe environment. Releasing them in the wild would mean very minimal surviving chance.
Besides, having them within our environment, we can learn more about them, appreciate them and care for them.
So how, anyone wanna sponsor me to go Bahamas and swim with dolphins?
Or, well Bahamas can't afford? Batam then?
